Kate O’Neill – ForM Sculpture Exhibition 2023
QSS artist Kate O’Neill will be displaying work as part of ForM Sculpture Exhibition 2023, Bangor Castle Walled Garden.
Kates piece, Nature’s Bird-den includes six hand-carved birds fixed on unique wood-turned stands. As they blend with the environment of the Walled Garden, these birds reflect the fragile fauna the garden shelters within its delicate ecosystem.
ForM Sculpture Exhibition takes place annually each June and is one of the highlights of Ards and North Down Borough Council’s annual Arts exhibition programme, giving visitors the unique opportunity to experience art in a different context, outside the traditional gallery setting.
The exhibition will showcase selected works from artists from across the island of Ireland who exhibit both nationally and internationally, and are inspired by the garden environment.
A visit to Bangor Castle Walled Garden is a real escape and the sculptures enhance this experience even further.
Some of the works are of large scale and compliment the setting whilst other, more subtle, works will need to be sought out, adding a further dimension to this engaging exhibition. It is an exhibition to be enjoyed by the whole family!
