QSS is delighted to announce that Belfast School of Art graduate Kwok L Tsui has been awarded our 2020-21 Graduate Bursary. The bursary takes the form of free studio provision (1 December 2020 – 31st August 2021) and aims to relieve an emerging artist from financial pressure whilst easing the transition from university to professional practice.

“Memory is always at ‘play’ in my practice – a semi-lucid quality, re-imagining thoughts and emotions. It questions my identity and the idea of ‘belonging’ in painting – both within myself and the work. A sense of displacement, flux and detachment whilst acknowledging the limitations of what ‘paint’ can achieve in this space.”
