Jane Rainey wins painting prize at RHA Annual Exhibition

Congratulations to QSS artist Jane Rainey on receipt of the K+M Evans Painting Prize (for Icy Moon) at the RHA’s 190th Annual Exhibition.

Jane has shown work across Ireland. Recent solo shows include The Horizon Is Never Still, Molesworth Gallery, 2019 and Ridges, Rathfarnham Castle, 2018. Group shows include: VUE Art Fair, RHA, 2019; Futures Series 3 Episode One, RHA, Dublin 2017; and A Bounce Borrowed, The Dock, Carrick on Shannon 2017. Rainey was recently shortlisted for the Merrion Plinth Award, Dublin. Previous awards include a scholarship from NCAD to study a Masters in Fine Art, 2014 and the John and Rachel Turner Bursary Award, University of Ulster, Belfast, 2014.

Her work is held in the various private and public collections including the OPW State Art Collection and Mason Hayes and Curran Private Corporate Art Collection. Rainey also completed a commission for Project Art, Chapter One, Dublin in 2017.
