Congratulations to Daniel Coleman for receiving the prestigious 2026 Hennessy Craig Award for Painting at the RHA Gallery.
As one of the biggest awards for a painter in Ireland, the winners were announced at a ceremony in Dublin, presented by Sinéad Ní Mhaonaigh PRHA.
The 2026 Hennessy Craig Award and Homan Potterton Prize exhibition, displaying the work of the 10 shortlisted artists, is currently on show in the Dr. Tony Ryan Gallery of the RHA Gallery Dublin until the 29th March 2026.
Since 2018, The Hennessy Craig Award has been awarded on a biennial basis and is open to any painter under the age of thirty-five exhibiting in the open submission section of the Academy’s Annual Exhibition, who has studied at a recognised art college on the island of Ireland, as specified within the will of H. Robertson Craig.
