QSS Open Studio Call & Bursary Opportunity
QSS invites applications for one sub-let studio space and one graduate bursary space at The Arches Centre, 11-13 Bloomfield Avenue, Belfast, BT5 5AA:
Sublet Space – Studio 27 – 202 sq/ft @ £51 per month (1 year)
Bursary Space – Studio 34 – 333 sq/ft (10 months)
Established in 1984, QSS currently provides 37 self-contained studios for professional artists at all career stages.
Our new Bursary Space takes the form of free studio provision for a 10-month period and is open to 2019 graduates currently based in, or from, Northern Ireland.
Both studios listed are located on the 2nd floor of The Arches Centre and will be available to rent from 16th September 2019. Artists will have access to the building from 08.00 to 22.00 Monday to Saturday and 10.00 to 21.00 on Sundays. A lift is available in the ground floor reception area.
All studios have double-glazed windows, high-speed wi-fi, recycling facilities and access to a sluice room and communal kitchen/seating area. There are good transport links in the vicinity and plenty of shops and cafes.
Studio applications must be received by Tuesday 10 September @ 17.00. Site visits are available on Wednesday 4 September at 11.30 and 15.00 for artists wishing to view the studios prior to submitting an application.
All applicants will be notified via email following the studio selection process. Please note that QSS premises are strictly non-commercial and solely for the production of art.
