Zoe Murdoch wins residency award at RUA Annual Exhibition

Congratulations to QSS artist Zoë Murdoch ARUA on winning the Tyrone Guthrie Residency Award for an artist from Northern Ireland working in any medium at the RUA Annual Exhibition! The award, which was introduced in 2015, was previously won by QSS member Jennifer Trouton (2016) and painter Kyle Barnes (2015).

The Tyrone Guthrie Centre is a beautiful, secluded residential workplace in Co. Monaghan, open to professional practitioners in all art forms. The centre was founded by the visionary theatre maker William Tyrone Guthrie who, with the advice and encouragement of his family, bequeathed his entire estate and family home to the Irish State with the proviso that it would be used for the benefit of artists.

The RUA Annual continues at the Ulster Museum until 7th January 2018.
